Leonardo Triggiani is a third-year PhD student at Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro. He got the MSc in Materials Science and Technology at the same university in 2013, discussing a thesis in Photochemical Conversion of Energy. In late 2012 he started collaborating with Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II as to develop a part of the master thesis. After graduating he joined Università di Napoli with post-graduate research scholarships, and this collaboration is still underway today. His main research activity is focused on the design of nanomaterials for the photo- and electro-chemical conversion of energy, using combined theoretical and experimental strategies. He is currently working on the performance enhancement of transition metal oxides by doping. He is author of 3 publications in peer-reviewed journals, counting 28 citations (h-index = 2). He also presented 10 communications in national and international conferences. During his PhD, he has been didactic tutor in Chemistry for the BSc courses in Food Sciences and Technologies and Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at Università di Bari. He is a board member in the Young Group of the Italian Chemical Society representing the division of Physical Chemistry. His personal aim for this 3-year activity is to sustain the work and the personal growth of colleagues, by strengthening the relationship between SCI and the younger scientific community. Besides research, he is in the board of the Bari Division of Associazione Dottorandi e Dottori di Ricerca Italiani (ADI).
