Efficient low-temperature depolymerization of polycarbonate catalyzed by lanthanum β-diketonate complexes

Optimal lanthanum diketonate complex enabled polycarbonate depolymerization below 60 °C, yielding monomers in high yields. Slurrying the polycarbonate sample with toluene prior to depolymerization accelerated the methanolysis reaction.
